Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information EgCoffee (EgCoffee.com, "we", "us") collects when you visit the site, how cookies are used, which third parties may receive data, and the rights you have. We do not sell products ourselves and we do not ask you to create an account to read the site.

Information we collect

• Technical data sent by every browser: IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, language, referring page, pages visited and the date and time of each request. Our servers and our hosting/security provider keep this in short-lived logs to run, secure and debug the site.
• Usage data collected through analytics cookies (only where you have allowed them, see below).
• Information you send us, for example your name and email address when you contact us. We use it only to answer you.
• Affiliate clicks: when you click a product link we record the click (page, product, time, country and technical request data) without your name, to count which links are used.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We use:

• Essential cookies needed for the site to work and stay secure (session and security tokens such as XSRF-TOKEN) and the cc_consent cookie that remembers your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics and advertising cookies set by Google Analytics and Google AdSense. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland these are only used after you accept them in our cookie banner; until then Google tags run in a consent mode that does not store analytics or advertising cookies.
• Third-party cookies after you leave our site: Amazon and other merchants or affiliate networks set their own cookies on their websites when you click through.

You can change your cookie choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer (shown to visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland) and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Third parties

• Google Analytics (Google LLC) measures how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, device and browser). It uses cookies such as _ga. See Google's Privacy Policy and opt-out add-on.
• Google AdSense may show ads and use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure them. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services; you can manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.
• Amazon Associates Program (Amazon.com Services LLC). Links to Amazon contain our tracking ID. When you click one, Amazon may set or read cookies on its own site to attribute qualifying purchases to us. Amazon's handling of your data is covered by the Amazon Privacy Notice.
• Other affiliate networks (for example CJ Affiliate) may be used for some merchant links. They work the same way: tracking happens on the network or merchant site after you click.
• Cloudflare delivers and protects the site and processes technical request data (IP address, country, browser) for security and performance.

EgCoffee is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

How we use information

To operate, secure and improve the site, to understand which content is useful, to measure affiliate clicks, to answer messages, and to comply with the law. We do not sell your personal information for money and we do not use it to make decisions that have legal effects on you.

Retention

Server and security logs are kept only for a limited time. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics. Messages are kept as long as needed to answer you.

Your rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

Our legal bases are your consent (analytics and advertising cookies), our legitimate interest in running and securing the site (technical data, essential cookies) and legal obligations. You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Your rights under the CCPA/CPRA (California) and other US state laws

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Use of advertising and analytics cookies may count as "sharing"; you can opt out by declining or blocking these cookies in your browser, or by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA) and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
